Terms of Service

Effective: 2026-05-04 Last updated: 2026-05-23

These Terms govern your use of AIGI ("Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

AIGI is operated by Imro LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (the "Operator," "we," "us"). The Operator's registered contact details are listed in §14 below.

1. What AIGI Is

AIGI is an information service that monitors AI laws, regulations, enforcement actions, and policy signals across jurisdictions, and delivers structured briefs about those developments to subscribers.

AIGI is not a law firm. AIGI does not provide legal advice. Briefs are factual summaries with citations to primary sources. Decisions about how to comply with any law or regulation are yours, made in consultation with qualified counsel.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to bind any organization you represent. The Service is intended for business and professional use, not personal or household use.

3. Accounts

  • One person, one account. Sharing credentials is prohibited.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account, including by anyone you invite as a seat-holder.
  • You agree to keep your authentication factors (magic-link email, TOTP code, recovery codes, SSO credentials) secure.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that are dormant for 12+ months.

4. Subscription, Billing, and Refunds

  • Subscriptions auto-renew at the interval you selected (monthly or annual) until cancelled.
  • You may cancel at any time from your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Plan changes (upgrades or downgrades) take effect on the next billing cycle, with proration handled by Stripe.
  • Refunds: within 14 days of your first charge on a new account, you may request a full refund for any reason. After 14 days, refunds are at our discretion. We will refund pro-rata in cases of extended service unavailability (>72 hours in a calendar month).
  • All amounts are in USD unless otherwise stated.
  • You are responsible for taxes (sales, VAT, GST) applicable to your purchase based on your location.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or regulation
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the underlying source code
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, headless browsers) to access the Service beyond the contracted API rate limits
  • Republish, resell, or redistribute briefs or source content as your own product without a separate written license
  • Use the Service to develop a competing product or train a competing model
  • Attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or other security controls
  • Use the Service to harm minors or distribute illegal content

Violations may result in account suspension or termination without refund.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your data is yours. You retain all rights to data and content you submit.
  • Briefs are ours. AIGI's brief content (the editorial text, structure, taxonomy, and source-relationship graph we build) is owned by the Operator. You receive a license to read, store, and reference briefs in connection with your authorized use of the Service.
  • Source content is owned by its authors. We link to and quote from primary sources (regulations, court opinions, legislation, official publications) under fair use, statutory exceptions, and the public-records nature of much of our corpus.
  • You may quote AIGI briefs in your internal compliance memos, board presentations, and client deliverables with attribution to AIGI as the source. Mass redistribution requires a separate license.

7. Service Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We will give 30 days' notice for material changes that materially reduce paid-tier value, except in cases of legal or security necessity.

8. Disclaimers

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
  • WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT BRIEFS ARE COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR FREE OF ERROR. Briefs are AI-generated summaries derived from primary sources and reviewed by automated quality gates before publication. They are not a substitute for primary-source review or legal counsel.
  • WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
  • AIGI IS NOT A LAW FIRM. Nothing in the Service constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • The Operator's total liability arising from or related to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $100.
  • The Operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility.
  • Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Operator from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your infringement of any third-party right.

11. Termination

You may terminate by cancelling your subscription. We may terminate for cause (Acceptable Use violations, non-payment, fraud) immediately without refund, or for convenience with 30 days' notice and pro-rata refund of prepaid amounts.

Upon termination, your access ends. We retain financial records as required by law (see Privacy Policy §4).

12. Governing Law and Disputes

  • These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
  • Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, under the rules of JAMS, unless prohibited by law in your jurisdiction (in which case courts of San Francisco County, California have exclusive jurisdiction).
  • You waive the right to participate in class actions to the extent permitted by law.
  • The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform is available to consumers in the EU: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will be announced by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
