Frequently asked questions

How does AIGI decide what counts as an "AI enforcement action"?
An enforcement action is in scope when an AI system is materially central to the claim — for example, an algorithm causing discriminatory hiring outcomes, a generative model producing actionable content, an automated decision system denying benefits, or a biometric system collecting data without consent. Actions where AI is incidental (e.g., a general data breach at a company that happens to use AI) are excluded.
How quickly are new enforcement actions added?
The enrichment pipeline runs every 30 minutes against ~100 primary sources (regulator press releases, court PACER feeds, agency RSS streams). A new enforcement action is typically tracked within hours of its primary-source publication.
Are these from primary sources or news commentary?
Primary sources only. AIGI applies the Primary Source Principle: when a fetcher returns commentary, a deterministic resolver follows the link to the underlying agency document, court opinion, or consent decree, and enrichment runs on the primary content. Commentary is shown only as via-attribution.
What information is shown on each enforcement page?
Agency, case name, jurisdiction, enforcement type, document type, penalty amount and type (where disclosed), effective date, AI risk category, primary-topic tag, a neutral summary, and a link to the primary source. Detailed analysis — vendor-impact assessment, compliance-checklist deltas, risk score — is available to paid subscribers.
Can I receive alerts for new enforcement actions?
Yes. Paid subscribers receive per-agency, per-jurisdiction, and per-topic alerts via daily brief or webhook. See /pricing.
